August 2008 I Love to Sew Club
Lisa's outfit features a simplified bike jacket called By Popular Demand. It is made of stretch cotton. Her Great Copy 420 shirt and Sewing the Kwik Sew Way shirt are made of navy interlock.
Debbie's Asymmetrical Serger Tee is adapted from Loes Hinse's Perfect Tee Pattern using rib knit. Jersey knit can be used also.
Debbie's Lace Insert Tee is adapted from Textile Studio Santa Monica Tee using bamboo knit and stretch lace for the insertion.
Debbie's Trumpet Sleeve Jacket is an adaptation of Kwik Sew 3478. It is made of stretch Twill.
Linda's Little Boy's Layered Tree is adapted from Kwik Sew 2918 using two different knits and decoratively stitched with a coverstitch machine with wrong side of the stitch out.
Lynn's Tweed Jacket for Fall adapts Burda 7790 using tweed suiting.
You can't tell the difference between Laurel's dress and a $160 original! She used Kwik Sew3593 and made some modifications. It is made from interlock and is soooo comfortable.
What little girl wouldn't want this coat. It is made from a fleece that is fuzzy on one side. Linda adapted her granddaughter's coat from Burda 9628. Easy to make.
Serger Club this month featured an original skirt pattern by Kristin. Join our Serger Club which meets the first Saturday or first Monday of the month for unique, creative fashions and projects. (This pattern is available only to Serger Club members.)
